Dear Life
Opening Reception: June 26, 6-9PM
On View: June 26 – August 22, 2026
In Dear Life, Erin Long Loganathan embraces the ugly-pretty reality of being human. Working intuitively across painting, ceramics, embroidery, and assemblage, she allows materials to lead the way—a scribble becomes a girl, a bell becomes a doll, and a broken object becomes something newly whole. Flowers, lemons, dolls, and stitched fragments become symbols of impermanence, resilience, and the quiet ways we care for ourselves and one another.
Throughout the exhibition, Long Loganathan explores what it means to find beauty without denying difficulty. Drawing inspiration from gratitude practices, childhood wonder, mental health, community, and the philosophy of repair, her work celebrates transformation not as perfection, but as a willingness to begin again.
Dear Life offers a hopeful proposition that even when life spins wildly beyond our control, there remains beauty in holding on, paying attention, and creating something meaningful from what we have been given.
