SUMMARY:Jazz Buffalo: A Charlie Brown Christmas
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, December 16\, 2026 | Hunt Art Gallery / Beebe’s o
n the Square\nArt Meets Jazz: “A Charlie Brown Christmas” ft. The Ed C
roft Trio and Special Appearance by Tina Williams-Croft\nSome music just s
ounds like Christmas.\nFor generations\, the music Vince Guaraldi created
for A Charlie Brown Christmas has been part of the soundtrack of the hol
iday season. From the instantly recognizable opening of “Christmas Time
Is Here” to the joyful swing of “Linus and Lucy\,” Guaraldi created
music that somehow feels nostalgic and timeless at the same time.\nOn Wedn
esday\, December 16\, Art Meets Jazz brings that music to the intimate s
etting of the Hunt Art Gallery and Beebe’s on the Square with the Ed Cr
oft Trio.\nLed by bassist Ed Croft\, a multiple JazzBuffalo Poll winner a
nd nominee\, the trio will revisit the music of Guaraldi and the beloved
A Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack. Ed will be joined by pianist Ivan
Docenko and drummer Wasik\, bringing their own musical personalities to
songs that have become holiday favorites.\nAnd this has always been about
more than simply playing the album from beginning to end.\nThroughout the
evening\, Ed will share some of the stories behind Guaraldi\, the music\,
and how this unlikely jazz soundtrack became such an enduring part of Chri
stmas in America.\nBefore the trio takes the stage\, we’ll begin the eve
ning with a special performance by Tina Williams-Croft.\nA Buffalo singer
-songwriter with more than two decades of performing experience\, Tina dra
ws from American roots music\, blues\, soul\, and country. She’ll bring
her warm and personal style to a selection of favorites and holiday songs
—a wonderful way to begin our December gathering.\nArt Meets Jazz has al
ways been about experiencing music a little differently. Surrounded by art
\, with friends gathering and the musicians only a few feet away\, Beebe
’s offers just the kind of intimate setting this music deserves.\nCome s
pend a December evening with us\, enjoy the gallery\, settle in for the mu
sic\, and experience one of jazz’s most beloved contributions to the hol
 iday season.\n6:00 PM — Welcome and Gathering6:30 PM — Tina Williams-C
